Similar to Italian gelato, the ice cream served at Saffron & Rose is full of flavor and chunks of real ingredients. S&R offers old standbys along with delicious and unique flavors like saffron pistachio, Nutella, lavender, cucumber... Not sure if the flavors rotate, but tonight only three flavors (dark chocolate, cookies and cream and faloodeh) contained gluten. They were clearly labeled as having gluten, and the folks at the counter also knew which flavors had gluten. I had be very specific regarding what steps I wanted them to take to prevent cross contamination; but they happily washed hands, cleaned the ice cream scoop and scooped our flavors from new containers straight out of the freezer. We will definitely return to this treasure!
