Review of Sage Kitchen at Anderson's

I’m giving 3 stars because there are a FEW safe things to eat. The server was honest and advised anything cooked in the fryer is not ok for celiac. (Fries amongst other fried items have a GF label). She also said their menu is gluten friendly but many risk cross contamination. I had the curry bowl with salmon. It was terrible. I’m an adventurous eater, but onions and I think garlic was so overwhelming it took over the whole dish to the point I couldn’t taste anything else. The $9 salmon add-on was thin and way overcooked. I didn’t get sick, but would never order that again. The normal, non-GF folks in my party liked their food. Also to note- the Bee&Biscuit down the street, which also lists GF options, had a 2.5 hour wait. Sage Kitchen was nearly empty. There’s probably a reason for that. Which is a shame because this place has potential, especially for the gf customers. I think with better management and a better trained kitchen (and FOH hosting which I’m not even going to comment on), this place would do well.
