Aside from the side salad that comes with the hibachi entrees, it was very good. (The salad dressing is also not gf.)
It’s the standard hibachi grill food where you pick your protein and then it comes with rice and vegetables- carrots, broccoli, zucchini and onions and they cook it in front of you at the grill and make the big fire... also the starter broth soup.
For sure the chicken and steak is gf, and most likely the salmon and lamb chops too.
I went in and talked to the hostess and surprisingly, she was knowledgeable about their gf options and said she would also notify the server if I came in to eat.
They used gf soy sauce for our whole party to avoid cross contamination. They said there would not be an extra charge, but honestly I didn’t check the bill.
It’s a fun dinner to eat at the grill. More than I would normally spend, but it will be good to work into our rotation. The kids enjoyed the big fire...
Very thankful to have another option and it was easy to be gf and everyone seemed to know what the options were and it was no big deal.
They also have sushi but I don’t know what of that is gf. Some entree soups are not gf per the hostess but I would only be ordering a hibachi entree anyhow.
I suggest making a reservation for the hibachi grill. You can get 10 to 12 people around one grill but it’s connected to another one, so a group of 20 to 24 is doable, that would be 2 grills.
There is another Woodlands location but I think the hostess said it did not have the hibachi grill where they cook in front of you.
