Sal 8 serves inventive yet affordable cuisine with traditional Sicilian ingredients in a very nice space. The service is upscale, yet during our visit at lunchtime they happily served travelers still dusty from the Valley of the Temples. You can eat five courses or sit down for a salad and two plates of (gf) pasta. The staff were confident and competent to accommodate celiacs. They had bread available when we sat down (though not homemade), could substitute all the pasta except the ravioli, most of the meat and fish dishes, and 4 out of 7 desserts. We ate very well and did not get sick. Our Airbnb host, who is herself a celiac, considers it the best restaurant in Agrigento and reports having eaten here many times without ever getting sick.
