Informed my waitress that I had a gluten allergy and she gave me a deer in the headlights look. She had no idea what gluten was. After a bit of explaining, she said arepas were corn maize and made on the grill, not fried. Not wanting to leave my company for another restaurant, I proceeded to order a steak, vegetables, arepas and beans.
The food was delicious….. but I got sick as a dog. This place has no idea what gluten, much less celiacs are. Stay clear.
