Review of Saltwater Cafe

Ate here twice while in Venice on vacation. Generous Gluten Free menu, however, neither of the waiters that served us were knowledgable on actual food preparation. One of them took our order without ever writing anything down and thus, our order was messed up. My wife even asked them to notate the order as GF and the response was "I don't have anything to write with- trust me, I've got it.." Then the bill came and our son's order was not marked GF. (Meal ruined with anxiety)The manager confirmed that all of their wings are GF, and are cooked in a separate fryers-no one got sick, so it may be true. Be wary of the lax attitude from the staff if you have food allergies. Easy to not go back as the service was also incredibly slow at dinner time. They should train their staff better..
