Sabertooth Grill - menu listed the carne asada tacos and chips and salsa as gluten free. They should actually be listed as gluten friendly. When we asked about them we found out that the corn tortillas are heated with the flour ones. The chips are also not fried in a dedicated fryer. Additionally when we requested that they heat the tortillas separately and taken from a new package that wasn’t cross contaminated the workers seemed annoyed.

Disappointed. Truly. Kudos to the individual restaurant workers who shared the ingredient book at the restaurants. We were highly disappointed to find out that the menus on the app were out of date and wrong. Had we followed that as our guide, we surely would be sick. For instance,Saber tooth grill marinates meats in beer, fries chips in a shared fryer, and shares a grill so corn tortillas touch glutened surfaces. They claim the carne asada tacos are GF. Not true. You can ask the guest services desk for a list of Allergens but it’s a year out of date. I uploaded the images.

Swordfish tacos were fantastic. Highly recommend the laid back and friendly atmosphere at the bar. Wonderful experience!

No options. I called before and spoke to customer service before our visit. No gf options, other than bags of chips or prepackaged cream. Very disappointing considering they accommodate vegetarian and vegan diets at all restaurant. SD zoo needs to step it up and accommodate individual born with food allergies. So bring your own lunch peps!
Asked for gluten free menu and was provided a sheet with 5-6 menu options (not listed on main menu sign). My celiac son loved the angus burger lettuce wrap with jasmine rice.

Bring a packed lunch! There were minimal GF options, and the “safe” caesar salad made my celiac daughter sick. My son and I were not sick, but were still hungry, after our bunless hotdogs. At least we could have the prepackaged ice cream!

Lettuce Wrapped burgers with no fries. Ordered nachos instead of fries. Still pretty good! They accidentally gave me fries and remade the order to be allergy safe. No reaction, and I’m super sensitive. 5 stars for taste and care. I wish they had more options.

We enjoyed lunch today at Sydney’s Cafe. I asked the cashier about gluten free and she brought out a notebook that had a page for allergies. Choices were very slim, but I was able to get a lettuce wrapped cheeseburger. It had 2 patties. Just make sure to let them know not to include the fries They also offered a substantial looking garden salad. Not much, but when we were at the Wild Animal Park in July, I couldn’t find anything.

I was very upset that there was no where gluten free in the park. We couldn’t find anything listed on the menu or a separate menu for this cafe. When we got in line, my fiancé went to the pick up counter to ask about a menu before we waited in the super long line. I ended up getting the sriracha burger on a lettuce wrap. They gave me fries (separately) instead of the rice so we went back and got rice to be safe. Everything tasted pretty good, and I was definitely satisfied afterwards!

It is hard to find Gluten Free options at a zoo or theme park, but the Hua Mei Cafe had a gluten free menu available and the staff were knowledgeable about the gluten free options. We explained our allergy to a staff member and they pulled out a binder with the gluten free menu.
