Sanchez Mexican Food

I’m sure this is a great Mexican place but not good for Gluten Free. The employee didn’t seem to understand English very well. I tried to ask multiple questions and told them I had a gluten allergy. But my food still came out with a flour batter on it. I ate a bite before I realized and then went and asked. They said yep, the chille relleno batter had flour in it and they had given it to me.

How confident are you that this establishment takes safety precautions against cross-contact?

— Not at all

We love Sanchez, the food is always fresh and hot. The El pastor is my favorite. The Carne Asada is also great. My son loves the Carne asada fries and quesadilla.

How much of the menu is available gluten-free?

— Some

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Excellent

The soft tacos were delicious!! There was a sign near the register saying that they could sub corn for some dishes to make them gf but the cashier was not fluent in English so I wasn't comfortable asking about subbing. It was unclear whether the chips were in a separate fryer, but honestly I would have eaten those soft tacos over chips, they were THAT good!
