Food was great! Those who are saying Jeff behind the counter is rude obviously don’t get a NY attitude or they ask questions they could figure out, or they have no idea what they want and hold up the line for others. Etc. he was great to us. I had the mayor, GF bread, egg, BLT. It was great!

We had high hopes after looking at the menu. The gentleman at the register seemed annoyed with our questions. We only ordered two breakfast sandwiches on gf bagels and one was burnt. While we are confident that everything was gf, the quality was poor.

Jeffrey, the guy working at the order counter, was neither polite or responsive to questions. When I first entered I asked if the had gluten-free muffins. He answered that he hadn't put them out yet. Then I asked if they had a gluten-free menu and he very sarcastically told me that if I opened the regular menu I would see items marked with a GF. At that point I asked if he could just tell me what flavor of gluten-free muffins they had and he said they didn't have any, that he thought I had asked if they had muffins. After ordering he said he would bring our food to the table. We waited approximately 20 minutes and heard our number called. My husband got up and a man said he would bring our order to us. A minute later a different man brought it to our table and said in an irritated voice that it had been setting at the counter waiting. I have no idea what that was about since they had been bringing everyone else's food to the table. Don't know if it was the negative atmosphere or cross-contamination, but I ended up with digestive problems. Th3 food was average and not worth dealing with so much unpleasantness.

We ordered carry out sandwiches and I ordered by phone. The menu is clearly marked with the items that could be made GF and I specified celiac while ordering as both of my daughters have the disease. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable and my take out order was clearly marked. The sandwiches were so good (grilled cheese especially) that I got panicked that the bread wasn’t GF but no! All was well. (Just FYI sandwich meats are Boars Head.) My one daughter is fairly sensitive and we had no issues. Ate there twice in one week.

I first gave this restaurant 5 stars because I went for breakfast and had no issues. I was so excited to see all the reviews and have a place I could go to on vacation and not worry about getting sick. My family and I went again and I ordered the gf pizza, came home and was sick. I don’t know where the communication went wrong. I told them I was celiac and needed them to use allergy procedures, but communication failed somewhere. I have dropped my review from 5 stars to 3 stars because of this.

Lots of GF options. Had breakfast sandwich was great and had no reaction, ordered the gf pizza a few days later and was sick.

Delicious food, seemed very knowledgeable about gf, no issues for my celiac husband and kiddos. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the person behind the counter was clipped and rude. Of course, everyone has bad days, so who knows.

Great portions for a good price! Tons of selections clearly marked on the menu. Had a panini not a pizza so can't comment on that. Kids meals were really inexpensive and came with ice cream which my kids loved! Will come back for dinner and try the pizza.

My husband and I have ordered out from here twice and I really enjoyed my food and most importantly, I did not get sick. My husband spoke to the owner to make sure they understood that I have Celiac. When the order came out, the owner double-checked it and it wasn't gluten free. He admitted that it was his fault and forgot to put it on the ticket. He threw it right in the trash and they made us all new sandwiches. The second time we were there, everything went smoothly and I had no reactions. I will definitely be back next time I'm out on Sanibel!

Rude service! It's been a few years since I've been to Sanibel and was excited to see more gluten free availability on the island. I chose this place based on its five star rating. The food was average at best but the employee's disengagement and rudeness will not bring me back. It was a slow Saturday at 1pm and no line of customers. No greeting/welcome/smile as I entered. I was excited about the GF meatball sub I had seen previously on the menu & asked if it was truly gluten free and his response was "read the menu". He made my husband and I consistently repeat ourselves and he mumbled the entire time. As as he delivered our meals to the table I asked if there were any napkins and he did not respond but pointed at the wall mounted napkin dispenser located approx 5 feet away. This restaurant is definitely not in the business of providing good service.
