Delicious brunch and fun cocktails in a beautiful setting. No gluten free foods marked on menu, but our waitress asked about food allergies/concerns immediately, was familiar with celiac, and noted that she would personally talk to the chef. I ordered an omelette with goat cheese, bacon and veggies. They use a dedicated fryer for their fries so I was also able to have those. Even though it was a busy morning and I was worried about accidental cross-contamination on a busy day, I had no issues afterward and am excited to visit again!
Sorry to go against the other reviews but Sardine is absolutely not celiac friendly. Take a look at the window in the pass and you will see breadcrumbs everywhere. The bread is kept right there, by where all the food is plated up for running. Bread is cut in the prep area so chances for cross contamination are very high. Fries have a dedicated fryer but the cooks will keep bags of buns on top of uncooked fries. Burgers are plated by the cooks who handle the fries and there are no practices in place as far as glove changing and handling food to avoid cross contamination.
Delicious food in a beautiful setting. Only a couple of desserts were marked on the menu as GF but the waiter seemed knowledgeable and explained that most entrees were naturally gluten free or could be modified to be. He said the fryer was NOT dedicated, so no Moules Frites or Steak Frites for us. I would dine there again. Interesting cocktails, too.
Both the hostess and our waiter were extremely knowledgeable about Celiac, and waiter offered to talk to the kitchen specifically for me without being asked. No gf info on the menu, but all food is cooked to order and most things can be adjusted to avoid gluten. Had the steak frites (dedicated fryer for fries!!). Delicious! Had several gf options for dessert.
