I ordered takeout and the person on the phone was happy to ask the kitchen if certain items were GF and confirmed they will let the kitchen know it’s an allergy to take precautions. Although I did not have a gluten reaction, the pasta alla norma tasted fermented like it had gone bad. I had horrible digestion symptoms. Although I wasn’t glutened, it’s worth reporting for other sensitive tummy folks.

My 9 year-old daughter was recently diagnosed with Ciliac and this was our first time dining out since her diagnosis. We are vacationing near Hudson, NY and researched a restaurant she would be able to eat at. Just from viewing their website, we felt comfortable as there is a note on their menu that GF options were available for most entrees just inquire with your server. We were seated and our server Katrina greeted us and asked if we would like bread and drinks. We informed her of our daughter having Ciliac and needing GF options. She immediately turned to our daughter and said "Not a problem! You're in the right place girlfriend!" She let us know there was a GF bread option. By When we placed our orders she again made sure to notate my daughter's food be prepared GF. She ordered the Chicken Francese with a side of pasta (GF of course). The food (both GF and non GF) was some of the best Italian food we've had (and we are Italians from Long Island so we are hard to impress). On top of that my daughter felt so welcomed by Katrina who was so attentive to her Ciliac. It really made her feel better about her first dining experience since her diagnosis. If you are looking for a great Italian and GF experience in Hudson definitely check out Savona.
