Yummm!! Gluten free onion rings (straw style) AND fried chicken tenders. Both of my “boys” with celiac (and myself) enjoyed our dinner!

A waitress there once told me that I could only have like 3 things on the menu. As a result, I didn’t eat there often. Fast forward a year or so ….. there are actually only like 3 things on the menu that I can’t have!
There are soooooo many choices that I’ve found myself stopping there twice a week. Fried catfish, onion rings, fried green tomatoes, their grits/greens/bbq; yep gluten free. I’m thrilled to have choices/options. And the folks that work there are just down to earth friendly, hard working people! I love it there!

The waitress told me the fried pickles, French fries, and sweet tea chicken are gluten free but that she would ask about the ranch and BBQ sauce because she wasn’t sure. I told her that I have to be gluten free and she assured me that these things were; however, when my food came out, the chicken was on a bun that was obviously not GF and she never told me about the sauces. I waited a long time and finally had to call her over to ask. She said she would have to ask about the bun and sauces; she finally came back and said the bun and sauces were not GF. English is not her first language so maybe there is a bit of a language barrier but I will not be eating there since I cannot trust that they know what Gluten Free means.

They have gf options. Separate fryers for the onion straws, fried pickles and tomatoes. It’s expensive and in my opinion not worth it. Really helpful about gf tho

Just WOW! Came into B-ham on a Monday for work only to find that many restaurants are closed on Mondays. Saws to the rescue. What to know: fish and wings are fried with the fried chicken so they're a no-go. BUT you can have fried pickles, onion rings and fried green tomatoes since they're in designated fryer ! I was so excited about that I didn't even ask about fries. I got the grits that were stacked with greens, pork and onion rings but they weren't sure about the greens so they put on the side. They were also unsure about the sauce with fried green tomatoes. What a gem!! No side effects 24 hours later. 😁

Great little BBQ place. I ordered the fried green tomatoes (YES gluten free) and the loaded chicken bbq baked potato. I also had to try the onion rings since those are GF too. All was tasty. They have huge portions so come hungry! Btw, nothing is marked on the menu as GF but the manager was helpful and familiar with GF.
