Outstanding! Delicious food, extensive menu and as Celiac safe as you can get in a restaurant! The owner has Celiac and the staff is trained on proper handling and procedures. We were so grateful to have this small town amazing dining experience! Highly recommend!

We came here because of the glowing responses for it's gluten free options. They stated their fryers were not segregated for gluten free so none of their deep fried objects were celiac safe nor were their wings. We ordered the Piggy Mac and pizza fries.
The piggy mac was amazing but they were out of coleslaw and and didn't say that until our food came out. They said they'd bring something to replace it, and never did. They also didn't not bring out the marinara for the pizza fries or our sodas until we had to go and ask about them after we sat and finished the rest of our meal.
We still never got that coleslaw replacement. We also spent a lot of time waiting to have our orders taken and to get our bill. I doubt we will drive 30 minutes to come here again. The service.
I was also a bit worried when the person next to us spent 20 minutes trying to get the servers attention because their gluten free burger had a regular bun.
I wish the service was better, then I'd give their food another go. But to drive 30 minutes there and home, and spend almost 2 hours sitting there for this kind of service. Probably not.

Piggy Mac was pretty good. My husband keeps trying to find great GF pizza fries and these are not it. Service was pretty bad - we had to ask for our drinks a couple of times and the pizza fries didn’t come with the marinara.

We are fairly local and my 5 year old has Celiac. If we’re going to go out to eat this is our go-to-place. There are a lot of options for her to choose from and they have a protocol they follow. Like anywhere, be sure to tell them the order is gluten free the prep requirements to make sure they follow the protocol.

They are reworking their menu and kitchen staff, so I didn’t get the quality or guarantee they used to provide. Hamburger bun fell apart after one bite. Disappointed since it used to be a great place to eat.

I ordered the bacon spinach dip w/corn chips as an appetizer & pico chicken w/rice pilaf as my meal (the waitress said the pilaf would be safest side). I told the waitress I had celiac and she said they’d take care in the kitchen. My Nina sensor detected gluten in the meal (I tested it twice). The appetizer tested fine. The waitress insisted on not charging us for the meal, she was very apologetic.

Awesome food and service! They make sure you are safe if celiac or sensitive! No GF fryer. I'm just gluten sensitive so I went for the Wacho Burger( shared fryer waffle fries). So good.

I had the philly sandwich with chips and salsa. The sandwich was a little small but it was tasty. The homemade salsa was good. No issues.

I have been gf for almost 4 years. This ranks as one of my best restaurant experiences!! The menu was so extensive. I had a really hard time choosing what I wanted. One of the best parts was a checklist that came with my food to assure me that my food was checked and was in fact gluten free. The best part was that the food was delicious!!!❤ I don't live near here, but if we travel in the area again, I will definitely be back! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Incredible: I’ve never seen a restaurant bring a signed and completed gluten-free safety checklist with my meal, with separate sections for the server and the kitchen. They very clearly take celiac safety seriously.

Shuggy’s is amazing! They have a front and back menu of gluten free items and their owner has celiac disease. We had the piggy Mac, jalapeño poppers, and chicken wild rice soup. I have not had soup at a restaurant safely since I been diagnosed in 2019. My boyfriend (who isn’t celiac) and I loved everything! They even have a safety check list they bring you!

This place was awesome!!! There is a note from the owner on the gluten free menu with his name, email & phone number!! HUGE gluten free menu and the owner is Celiac so gluten free options actually taste great! I had a turkey club on a gluten free bun that was not dry or crumbly. The mayo was put between the meat & cheese to prevent the bread from getting soggy and falling apart. It's small details like this that make a huge difference. The server/bartender asked if I was Celiac when I requested the gluten free menu. I hope we can go back here!!!

The cook and the server have a checklist to make sure it gets prepared properly. I had bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers for an appetizer and for main dish i had the cajun lobster fettuccine alfredo with chicken noodle soup, which were both good. They have a very large and safe gf menu. The only thing that could make this place better would be to have a dedicated fryer.
We need to frequent establishments like this to ensure they can stay in business for a long time.

Wow! Huge GF menu. Well trained kitchen and front house staff. They provide a checklist with each dish to show all the steps done to ensure meal is safe. No dedicated fryer but they have GF pasta, pizza and buns for sandwiches & burgers.

Great food, i had the whiskey chicken and pineapple sandwich.

Update: we ordered takeout and I got the prime rib. I ended up with a gluten roll at home and ate half of it before we realized one of the non Celiac orders had the same roll. We called and they confirmed it was gluten. Mistakes happen and I've eaten here probably 10 times without a problem, but it goes to show that no kitchen with gluten is risk free
Our waitress had Celiac herself and was able to accommodate everything. Great gf Mac and cheese and burger buns. Excellent service and food. Will definitely be going again

They have a gluten-free menu. Although they do have gluten in their kitchen, they do the best they can to keep food safe. The owner has Celiac, so he has trained all of his staff on food handling. Such a great resource for small-town Wisconsin.

Huge GF menu, affordable prices and nice atmosphere! We tried the Philly cheesesteak, pot roast sandwich and bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers.

Amazing experience for celiac customers! Extensive menu and very well-trained staff including a “gluten free item preparation checklist” that is signed by both the cook and the server.

Wow. Just. Wow. TWO sided Gfree menu. Meal delivered with a SIGNED CHECKLIST of precautions taken. SUPER DELICIOUS (I had Piggy Mac). Staff is fantastic. Wow

Lobster Mac & Cheese is amazing!! The pizza is fabulous - breakfast pizza especially. They don’t have a separate gluten free menu, but your server should work with you.
The owner found out he has celiac disease a few years ago so the whole staff is very knowledgeable! And oh my gah! The best Mac and cheese I’ve had in years! All the pastas and burgers can be made gluten free, the fryer is NOT dedicated, so if that bothers you, be aware, but otherwise they do a great job of taking care of Celiac friends!!
