Fantastic food in a safe and casual environment. The staff was super knowledgeable and pretty much everything was GF or could be made GF. I had onion rings for the first time since being diagnosed and almost shed a tear. They were soooo good. Better than I remembered. My wife (non celiac) said they were some of the best she’s had. We split chicken finger and a fish basket. The portion were huge, fresh, hot and delicious. They also had a ton of GF sauces. Place is a must if you’re in the area and craving fried goodness.

Excellent!

I am rarely able to eat fried food and I had full belly clams and onion rings!

Dedicated fryer, huge portions and a lovely discussion with the staff who are dedicated to offering those with gluten issues an amazing meal.

Sooooo good! Wound up here because we saw outside tables and had our dog with us. Everything can be made with gf breading and fried. I haven’t had fried chicken in forever. Food was fantastic. Will definitely be back

I read about this restaurant on this app. It is a great find. Had a huge Salas with lobster and it fed both my husband and me. The lobster is fresh, the veggies were crisp. The server very nice. We did takeout, and she gave me a bag with handles to make it easier.

So good! HUGE portions. GF fryer and food allergy friendly. My son also has an egg and nut allergy and we had a completely safe experience here. He had the shrimp and fries. They were greaa! The platters are enough for like 3 or 4 people. Wish we would have known. We have food for days now.😂 I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Our favorite place in Maine for GF fish & chips, fried clams, fried chicken strips, calamari, French fries and more. Separate gluten free fryer. Gluten free milkshakes and ice cream, too. Friendly staff, clean, made to order food, right on Route 1, indoor and outdoor tables. Great pre-and post-Covid. Would never miss it!!

When I found out Sea Basket has Gluten Free breading and a dedicated GF dryer I was SUPER excited! Their GF crumb includes rice, garbanzo and corn- double check when you go! The onion rings are SOOOOO good as were the scallops. Actually everything was great but they were my favorite!

GF batter for onion rings and fried seafood! Been so long since I’ve had fried scallops and onion rings. They were great! They also use the better for haddock, shrimp, clams - you can get a combo platter. Take out was easy with a great online order tool. There is a slight up charge for the GF batter.

Sea Basket was incredible! They made me feel so comfortable asking questions and not judged at all. The woman taking my order told me her husband has Celiac and eats at Sea Basket twice a week! She shared that they have a dedicated fryer and a dedicated prep station for gluten free orders. I had the seafood platter and it was delicious!

Was told by staff the fryer is not dedicated & they advise anyone with a real allergy to eat at their own risk so we left.

A full menu of our favorite sea food and many other menu items is available gluten free, including clams and onion rings! Amazing place. Highly recommend it!

Excellent gf fried seafood fisherman’s platter! There isn’t much more to say other than that except you must try it if you are in the area. It is definitely worth it!

Can’t leave a review on the food, but add advice. Make sure you call as we looked at the website for their days and hours open just to get there and they were closed. Very disappointing.

It was so nice to have breaded and fried fish for a change. My boyfriend even preferred it over regular breading!

Great find!!!! They do gf breading of all fried seafoods. AND onion rings. With dedicated fryer. Thought I'd died and gone to heaven! I haven't been able to eat fried clams for years!! And, it was crunchy and delicious. Don't miss Sea Basket!

This is a classic fish 'n chips joint that has a separate gluten-free fryer and an amazing, crispy, flavorful gluten-free batter. The scallops and haddock were cooked to perfection --not overcooked at all, but soft, juicy and flaky. Clean, bright, family-friendly...a real treat.
