This is my go-to sushi spot in the South Bay! Great price, service and highly-competent staff. Just communicate your allergy/dietary needs and they will work with you. I usually get a Philly roll, NY roll or Alaska roll, but they can also make a GF CA roll. They also provide GF soy sauce upon request.
The one thing I find on the menu is gluten free friendly is the Real California roll. Just real crab and avocado in the mayo sauce (I assume). Also the beef short ribs and rice. Again this is for a gluten/wheat intolerance. If you have celiac disease there may be issues.
They have gluten free soy sauce! Most of the staff is pretty knowledgable on what is gluten free and what isn’t. If they aren’t sure, they always double check with the staff. This is my favorite sushi place. The sashimi is so fresh!
Edit: I felt sick several times after eating here in recent months. After elimination eating, I have concluded it is the wasabi that is making me sick. Not sure if they changed the brand or not.
Great service, from order to first set of food was 3 minutes when they had all the tables full and it was at peak hour. The waiters and waitresses were wonderful and checked up on each table once every 2-4 minutes. Overall, Sen Dai Sushi definitely deserves 5/5. (Gluten free soy sause is available and the waitstaff and chef instantly understood what was available when gluten free was mention.)
