Very disappointed. No one could clarify what was gluten free and what wasn’t. The servers and hostess acted as if they didn’t care about serving us. When asked about some of the sauce ingredients, the response was quick and clear ... “ I have no idea”. And that is where the conversation ended. No help what so ever ☹ nor a care in the world to help. 🤐. Definitely do NOT RECOMMEND this place for any guest let alone celiacs.

I was extremely disappointed in our experience here after reading the last good review. The menu lists that they are willing to cook in coconut oil and has some limited GF items mentioned, so we asked our server about other GF options. She flat out said, we have zero GF items. I pointed out the GF designation on some items (like salad dressing), she still said, no we cannot do anything GF. I mentioned that some items don’t even seem like they have gluten (like plain grilled chicken), she said no. She made no effort to invite her manager or the chef over to help. Note that we explained this in both English and Spanish so it was not a language barrier. My dad did not trust that this would be safe so we left. This restaurant would significantly benefit from educating their staff on how to handle these discussions, as the previous reviewer seemed to have more success.

We were looking for GF Cuban food, and we found this to be very difficult to find. However, we called Sergio's, at the recommendation of the manager of Green Gables Cafe (yummy!), and they were able to tell us some things we could eat. Verify when you go (and speaking Spanish helps), but you should have a number of options. I had a beef dish (Churrasco ?), and my son had tilapia. Both were very good.
