Went for the Wednesday couple 3 course menu. The gluten free menu warns that there is a possibility of CC in their kitchen. We had a couple tapas to choose from on the courses menu. But for the meal portion only the paella. The food was excellent. Ceviche was bright and freshening. Great prep for the meal. We also had sausages that were savory and a hint of sweet. The seafood paella was savory. We tucked in with barely a word. The courses also came with a pitcher of sangria or bottle of wine. There were four of us, two couples, so we had both. Both drinks were very good. I walked away full. Didn't get sick so no CC. But I wouldn't go often. Despite a dedicated gluten free menu, the staff was not particularly knowledgeable.
We had a great lunch at Cafe Sevilla. We stopped to check the menu and remarked that we couldn't eat the first item on the brunch menu due to needing to eat GF. The hostess immediately let us know that they have a GF menu. The selection was great-ceviche-paella-salad-queso fundido plus more. The ceviche was served with gluten crostini on the plate but that was easily removed. My husband did not notice any reactions after our eating at Cafe Sevilla. Nice atmosphere, great crowd and great GF menu!
The music and atmosphere are very good, although our waitress couldn't even pronounce the Spanish names, in San Diego there's no excuse for that. Some of the tapas are "variations" and so not authentic. The GF menu is separate, which is good but they were out of a number of items on a Monday night.

The gluten free menu has several other items but no substitutions allowed.We had ceviche, sausages, and paella. The ceviche was bright and a great appetizing start. The sausages were succulent. The paella was very savory and the filling part of the meal. The courses come with a pitcher of sangria or a bottle of wine. We were with a couple and had both. Both were great. I didn't get sick, but can't recommend to other celiacs.
They have a large gluten free menu. They do however use the same pans for gluten and gluten free warm dishes. This is a tapas restaurant. We ordered the garlic mushrooms and cooked shrimp. Both very good and neither got me sick. For cold dishes we ordered the tuna tartar and the octopus ceviche. These were delicious! Their sangria is also GF. The house sangria went down smooth. We also got dessert. Don't remember what it's called, but it was similar to creme brulé. Also good.
