Sgrano was easily our favorite stop for lunch in Florence; we ate there every day we stayed in the city. Their schiacciata bread is out of this world. Their food is perfectly seasoned and incredibly tasty. The schiacciate in the sit-down restaurant are HUGE and can easily be split between two people, while the take away next door is a more manageable portion for one. Their tagliere was absolutely gorgeous and sooooooo good. We've only been home for 4 days and are already trying to figure out how we can recreate their amazing food.

A must stop! Safe and delicious paninis. We also shared an appetizer of puffed dough with truffle sauce. Everything was so good, cannot recommend enough!

All Gluten Free!! Most delicious sandwich I've had in my life, I recommend the Gorgonzola one. The sandwiches when ordering inside are bigger and better than the ones when ou order from their street food menu outside. If you order inside, one is enough for two people. They even had all the ingredients for their GF flour listed at the bottom of the menu. Service was so excellent we went here twice for lunch and once for dinner. (I don't recommend the tartare, but everything else was great) The bruschetta with lardo and porcini was also so mouthwateringly good. There was a wait when we arrived, but it's well-worth it!!!

Note, they no longer serve pizza.

You absolutely need to check this place out! We went twice during our time in Firenze. Once at the take away window and once inside. Both sandwiches were so amazing. The sandwiches are so big and even the salad was massive (for the days your body is just craving something green to counterbalance all the break/pasta/pizza).

All the menu is gluten free and certificated by the italian celiac association.

However, the stuff was not really friendly and felt unwelcomed.

Btw, the focaccia it's too much for one person, so I would def. recommend to share.

This was one of the BEST meals we had in Italy! The coccoli was an absolute delight and we were thrilled with so many GF choices. My husband (not GF) was also happy to be able to order a regular beer!

Sandwich was incredible. Very large servings, definitely two portions. Was a little on the dry side, but I think that’s just the Italian style. Although we all loved our sandwiches (ordered for takeaway), the waitress was incredibly rude. Went back the next day to order a gluten free beer and the same waitress denied me service.
