I’ve always loved shabu zen before I was diagnosed with celiac and assumed I wouldn’t be able to eat much after my diagnosis. Tonight I went and was able to have the veggie broth and hot pot! They had tamari and otherwise was very safe!

Server was knowledgeable and stopped me from ordering something I should not. She made sure I had GF soy sauce and shared that I have celiac with kitchen team.

I have eaten hot pot here multiple times and I have never gotten sick. They have gluten free soy sauce and the vegetarian broth is gluten free.

Vegetarian broth is Gf. Honestly not very hard to stay safe. Only concern is if you share a container 50/50 to watch for splashing if your friend gets a different broth.

Fantastic food. Order the vegetarian broth, it's GF and they have GF so sauce. I had mushroom added and it was amazing We sat at the bar and had a great server, Kim who was very helpful.
