Nothing on the menu is marked as gluten free but they can provide. Take normal steps for cross contamination and also have gf bread, I felt fine after the meal. Typical diner food - not great but pretty good. Really interesting ambience with literally hundreds of different salt and pepper shakers (hence the name)
Came here interested in the GF French toast and was told while they CAN make it, the bread is small so it’s not the best. Maybe they changed bread since the last persons review? I decided on create your own omelet with egg whites, spinach, bacon, and goat cheese (since I cannot digest dairy) and the waitress confirmed they make their home fries in house and can guarantee they are GF. Small spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Pretty busy street for outdoor seating but I prefer car noise over clanking dishes and others talking so it worked. I will add details on food after we get it.
I have to start off by saying our experience was TOP NOTCH!! The environment is very old school diner and has great DECOR!! Hundreds of SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS adorn the walls and counters of the place!! It has a very down home family business atmosphere that is very inviting and welcoming!!
Now.. onto the food: We ordered the Gluten Free French Toast and it was DELICIOUS!! Added fresh strawberries & Bananas and it elevated it to the next level. The GF bread was regular sized slices and was very good and had a great consistency that held it together and didn’t fall apart. The bread is: Three Bakers White bread (You can get it at Publix in the frozen section.)
Hope you enjoy your meal as much as we did and definitely would come back if we lived in Orlando!! 😁👍
