Shams El Balad

This restaurant offers a wide variety of small local dishes. We ordered several and shared them. Gluten-free dishes are not marked, but the service staff are all well informed (we were there four times and each time I got the same information about the dishes) and also point out if something was fried in the same oil as dishes containing gluten. Many dishes are gluten-free, but not all. Everything I tried was delicious (my favorite was the tomato salad) and I was told that the gluten-containing dishes were good too.

Nice! Staf really helpfull and asking about cross contamination. Unfortunately no fried options. Stuffed onions and halloumi were great!

Very knowledgeable staff about GF options. The waiter even asked me to specify if I was sensitive to cross contamination. The eggplant with sumac was amazing
