Review of Shang Noodle Chicago Streeterville

Review

I have a mild tolerance for cross contamination (never *yet* had an issue with a shared fryer, but many issues at various pizza places with “gf” options). I say this because I can’t speak for everyone, but Shang Noodle House warns that they can’t guarantee a lack of cross contamination. For my tolerance, I did not have any issues, and hopefully that gives a little context in this review.

Onto the food itself. The menu is one unit as a whole, but there are items on it with a specific “gf” notation. They offer delicious deep fried chicken and fish, with the crispy-fried texture coming from a gluten-less batter. They also offer some gluten-free stir fry and hot pot options.

The food was delicious, and I ate with someone who regularly eats Chinese food with no dietary limitations who thought the food was delicious as well.

They offer eat-in (very clean and had a nice, classy atmosphere), takeout and delivery. I did not have any issues after eating it.

The only reason I’m giving 4 stars for safety is because I will only give 5 stars to somewhere that is dedicated gluten free.
