Shaw's Sushi Bar & Dining

One of two sushi spots in Mt Fuji area that I was able to safely navigate. This one is located conveniently by the train station. We put our stuff in lockers and walked across the street and ate lunch while waiting for our train. Staff spoke a little English, they have English/Japanese menus, and they only use rice flour for any tempura with GF indicated on menu. They also have GF shoyu. Very pleasant experience, friendly staff, and a way to have some nice meals while touring around Kawaguchiko and Mt Fuji area. And delicious!!!

I had a great experience. They do not have an allergen menu but they have notes on the menu that they have gluten free soy sauce and only use rice flour. The staff was very helpful and double checked with the chef that everything in my meal was gluten free. Since I ordered a lunch set that had a dessert they even switched it out for one that was gluten free.

Excellent sushi combo. Use only rice flour for the tempura. Gluten free soy sauce available. The friendly staff exchanged all “suspicious” ingredients with safe ones. Vegetarian combo available as well.
