I eat at Shells once a month or so. I have never had a problem. I do get the grilled shrimp with rice and veggies. I always feel safe. I've brought my gf children also.

The only thing they had on the menu that was gluten free was the pasta and the waitress messed that up. I do not recommend this place to anyone gluten free or not.

They have gf pasta but the waitress said that all the sauces had gluten

I had the seafood pasta and it was delicious. The owner was at the hostess table when we arrived and heard me ask if they had a separate gluten free menu. They do have one, but he still came over and explained items to me, which I really appreciated.

Always good sea food and never had any celiac issues. Nice homemade feel. Definitely a nice boomer haunt.
