I was hesitant to eat here, but I wanted oysters and had a good experience. I am giving a high safety rating but ONLY for raw and steamed seafood. I had raw oysters, steamed/baked oysters with Parmesan and garlic, and steamed shrimp with old bay seasoning. I brought my own gluten free crackers and asked the server to make sure that no bread or packs of crackers were placed on the trays or near the food.
I explained celiac, gluten ingredients, and cross contact with the server. We then discussed the prep and cooking process of raw and steamed oysters and shrimp to determine if there would be any cross contact danger points. I even asked if anything would ever go into the steamer that would contain gluten. And I screened the seasoning that would go on my oysters and shrimp - asking brands and application methods.
I would feel comfortable recommending steamed or raw seafood here, but nothing else.

The service was horrible we got there at 5 and waited an hour for food… I am very sensitive celiac and fully explained everything to the waiter and asked her to cook my shrimp on tin foil and I told her specific directions. I got really sick before we could leave the restaurant. Do not recommend

I went twice this weekend and the second time the chefs put hush puppies in my fries. The food was okay and I didn’t get glutened but just be careful!

There is no GF specific menu, but nothing is fried. Grilled fish and chicken options. Steamed shrimp and crab legs! Low Country Boil is amazing!
