Had a gf menu was yummy

I loved sidetrack...but came for the first time since my diagnosis and was pretty disappointed in the waiters lack of knowledge. I asked for a GF menu and he went through the menu and put a check mark on the items he thought were safe and an X on the ones not safe. Except the burrito (with a flour tortilla) was checked, the salad with breadcrumbs was checked, and more that were very obviously not GF. I decided to play it “safe” and order eggs in purgatory with no bread. I was very clear that I have an allergy and I can’t have any gluten. They brought me eggs in purgatory with bread. I was pretty disappointed and don’t think I’ll be going back unfortunately. Would love to see a separate allergen menu and some education for the staff in the future.

Our waitress wasn’t well educated on GF but she went above and beyond asking the kitchen questions. Easy to sub out side dishes for the entrees, which is always helpful. Good meal, fast service.

I have had mixed results here. When they get it right, my meal is perfect. However, I have had them mix my veggies in with my husband’s breaded chicken piccata. If you go here, help your server understand exactly what your needs are and ask for manager if you feel they are unsure in what your exact needs are with your meal.
