I have eaten at Silk Elephant a number of times with great results! I have had curries, noodle dishes and fried rice successfully.
We didn't end up eating here. I asked question about how they prepare meat. They first boil chicken in the water that the noodles are boiled in. Not a guarantee that the noodles are gluten free. Just thought you'd want to know. All questions with them first.

I've eaten here multiple times and been fine. It is tasty food and good service! Gluten free items are marked on the menu.
I hate to give a bad review, but want others to be warned just in case. I believe I just got glutened but I don't know what did it. I ordered avocado rolls and bubble tea. It could have been the sweet and sour or peanut sauce for the rolls. Or the boba tapioca pearls for the milk tea. I thought I could handle cross contamination or small amounts of gluten, but I don't think that's the case anymore. Apparently sweet and sour can have cornstarch mixed with flour. Peanut sauce often has soy sauce in it that usually has wheat. And sometimes boba tapioca pearls are coated in something with gluten to keep them from sticking together. The avocado rolls were marked gluten free, but I probably should've known better.

Highly highly recommend Silk Elephant in Ankeny if you’re in the mood for Thai/Asian food! They have items marked as gf, huge portions, great service and their food comes out so fast! Bonus of cake right down the street at Main Street too!
