The manager (in Spanish) communicated back to the kitchen that they needed to switch the plates around and so in horror we watched as the manager of the restaurant disregarded any allergy protocols that should be taken in any restaurant and in about 10 seconds they slid the normal toast off my wife’s plate and slid the correct order back on to the same plate where there had been gluten sitting next to her eggs. I immediately called out your manager and informed her that I had seen what they had just done and that what they had done was incredibly irresponsible and dangerous. They didn’t seem to understand that a gluten allergy is like any other allergy, it has to be taken seriously. I’m just glad that we were sitting right in front on the kitchen last night and that I speak a little Spanish otherwise we would have never known that your kitchen was abandoning allergy protocols. Follow up I emailed their corporate and they basically told me they make no guarantees on any allergy’s, but they take precautions. I don’t think that was even a precaution I think they were just being lazy.
