Review of Silver Dollar City

We struggled to find safe options here. Based off my conversations, it was due to a limited menu because of the smaller covid openings. The pizza place usually has a GF crust, but it's not kept in stock right now...I could have gotten burgers without a bun in a couple of places. They do have a website with an allergy safe menu and I thought I'd have luck with that. The one place that looked appetizing was nowhere to be found, so I was bummed. The only thing bringing this review up is that people were knowledgeable when asked. I was able to get jerky...and she used clean tongs and everything because I asked about which options were safe. We stopped at the ice cream parlor and I was the person holding up the line because my first person wasn't trained in allergies and had to go get someone who was. I appreciated that. I was bummed that the hot fudge sauce contained barley malt extract, so I couldn't have any of that. The guy who helped me through my order was very thorough and didn't just rely on the book of allergens (because they often have things that change...like the hot fudge...based on availability) and literally brought me every ingredient to read for myself. He explained how the ice cream making works to avoid CC. He really went above and beyond...and I wish I could remember his name to give him some recognition. Ice cream was good and I didn't get sick, so that was a plus. I wouldn't call this whole park celiac friendly, but I would say they are trying.
