Had deep fried Oreos and pancakes! Was my first ever deep fried Oreo and I was blown away. So many options and the staff are super knowledgeable! Plus we had the best service on top of it all. They also have dairy free creamer options for coffee! Definitely will be back here
This place was amazing! We had so many GF choices and all of what we tried was great. My son got the GF confetti Belgium waffle; we shared the candied bacon; I got a Benedict with a side of blueberry lemon pancakes. Every thing was good - but the waffle was so good my son is still talking about it two weeks later. Be prepared for a long wait - they do have a selection of books you can check out - and an even higher price tag.
Skinny Vics takes celiac and food allergies very seriously. It is mentioned on every page of the menu, and when you tell the server you want gf, they will ask if it IS celiac. On top of that, the food is absolutely fantastic. I have NEVER had anything less than a stellar meal. Great service, too.
They are not open for dinner most evenings- there may be a Friday gf fish fry? Check with the restaurant or FB before heading there for dinner. And don't forget the gf deep-fried Oreos!
I am Celiac and watch for cross contamination and the restaurant was great. Had the mushroom Swiss burger with gf bun. Bun was really good. French fries done in a dedicated fryer. Gravy on burger had mushrooms in it and is gf. Waitress was very educated to help me out. Definitely recommend this place. Not open for dinner. Check times.
Absolutely Incredible service and food. We are a family with Celiacs (4 of the 5) and dairy allergy. We ate here all weekend as were in town for a softball tournament. Zero issues and such great care was given. * I react to minimal cross contamination and NOTHING - can't say enough! Thank You Skinny Vic's
Went for mother,s day. What a mistake, had reservation for 12 got seated at 12.40. They serving plates of samplers. Had 5 people at table brought plate with enough for 3 people. Had to wait for next sampler for an half hour . Got four 4 sampler plates , the main plate sampler we never got. Was told they sorry but got delivered too another tables . After being there for a good 2hours and 45 minutes told them to forget. Spent $ 82.38 for 2 people didn,t get 10 dollars worth of food. The place and the food was terrible. Save time and money do not go there.
Holy cow, the food itself is spectacular! Honest, best gf food at a restaurant I’ve eaten at in a WHILE!! Owner and kids have celiac and have completely separate cooking spaces. Slower service because it is all made to order, but worth the wait times 100!!! Call ahead on weekends for a reservation (otherwise might wait 10-30 mins). Enjoy the laid back feel, fresh squeezed OJ, and 50s(?) diner style atmosphere.
I mentioned I have Celiac disease to our waitress and she explained there is a completely separate kitchen for food asked to be made gluten free and actually wrote Celiac on the order rather than gluten free.
When I asked what on the menu I should steer away from she said almost everything can be made safely and that if I by chance chose something that couldn't be made gf she'd let me know. Separate fryers and all! Totally worth the stop in West Bend.
I had the lemon blueberry pancakes. They were awesome.
So excited to go out for a fish fry again! Usually baked fish is my only option at most restaurants. My fish was perfect, very flaky and delicious. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.
Vic's has a dedicated fryer and grill!! I had the GF fish fry. It was perfect! The batter was light and crispy. The fish was tender and moist. Their tartar sauce is made in-house and wad a delightful and delicious treat! I also had some GF bacon-wrapped fried cheese curds. They were so yummy with the ranch sauce that came on the side. Vicky came out and talked to the diners. She is a kind lady who wants to make delicious food for her guests! Most menu items are GF or can be made GF. I am going back to try the Hawaiian grilled cheese.
Excellent food and service. Don't miss the gluten free fish fry.
All celiac families need to go out of their way to find this place. Dedicated pans, knowledgeable staff AND owner (Vicky). Hospitality pours out the second you walk in the door. Not just good food but great food. Hearty breakfast. If you want a good fish fry call ahead and they will secure dedicated place to cook your dinner. I wish I could rate this higher than 5 stars.
