Had the muscles without the bread and oysters. Very yummie! Also they have a dedicated fryer for French fries!!
I have family that work here so they were able to guide me as to what I could have. The items aren’t marked on the menu. There is just a small note under the sandwiches that GF bread was available.
It’s very clean inside the establishment and kitchen, too.

This place does not have a dedicated fryer. They do not have a separate GF menu. I was assured that the boil would be gluten free. I ordered the lobster with only the potatoes, corn, and butter, had multiple discussions with staff about being Celiac. My plate still came out with bread on top! The staff kept saying they have gluten friendly dishes so if you are super sensitive, this isn't your place.

I went to Smack Shack this evening and wanted to share my experience, as I’ve seen a mix of info on their gf protocols. I was meeting friends for drinks on their heated patio, and I’d eaten beforehand, not expecting that they would have options for me. I talked to the server, who was familiar with celiac disease, and when I asked about their gf protocols, she said they made an effort to prepare food separately for people who indicated they needed it (new pans and cutting boards, gloves, taking care to prepare the food separately- but I don’t think they have a dedicated area for it), and that they DO have a dedicated fryer- she said they’d gone back and forth with the fryer for years, but they finally landed on keeping one fryer gf.
I didn’t ask a lot of questions about many items and their preparation since I wasn’t very hungry, but she pointed out a number of items that could be made gf (they are not labeled on the menu). I shared the lobster guacamole with a friend, with their gf fried tortilla chips, and it was delicious!

Was here a few years ago and had great GF options - even fish and chips. Menu has changed. Some of the previous GF options are no longer offered
Fryer is shared with gluten-containing products. Some servers understand celiac and others don’t. Very limited true GF options. It is possible to have a meal here, but be wary.
I had a boil. The server walked me through what else was gluten free. I was surprised that there were more options than I was expecting.
Updated review: the last two times the boil came out with bread on top. The last time it took close to an hour to get my boil after sending it back. The manager couldn’t understand why I was upset that everyone was done eating and I still hadn’t had anything to eat. Oh the waitress offered me red velvet cake to make up for the mixup. I ended up glutened- not sure how. Won’t be back.

No gluten free menu, but many options. Server went through the entire menu, explaining what was and wasn't gluten free.
Insensitive management and staff. Mine was a terrible experience.
No
Food was fantastic! The server was knowledgeable. But no GF menu.
I am a celiac and had a great experience here. I had one of their lobster boils. The server double checked that all components were gluten free. It was delicious and did not give me any problems! The server was even careful boxing up my leftovers for me.

Made alterations to food to make Gluten Free. Service was not the greatest.
