Dedicated fryer for French fries, and they offer a lettuce bun! They have an option to select an allergy in store or online. They take allergies very seriously. Try the garlic aioli for your fries! It is amazing!

Love eating here! I get my burger lettuce wrapped and they always ask if I have an allergy to make sure my food is treated properly. Dedicated fryer only handles their french fries — which are incredible!

Like everyone said before: lettuce wrap. It's a good burger and good fries. Burger is cooked on its own grill and buns are toasted in a separate area. Safe fryer for fries

Not interested in burgers, but liked the fries! They had a sort of meaty taste. Felt good after eating, no issues.

Best lettuce-wrap burger anywhere, hands down. Legit the lettuce wraps allllll the way around the meat. Perfection. Fries in a dedicated fryer. Delicious chocolate shakes. Go-to place when we want burgers now. Pricey? Yes. But you’re getting the Au Cheval burger, for God’s sake.

Really enjoyed coming here. Had no issue with their lettuce wrapped burger, fries, and shakes. There’s virtually no variety but that’s fine by me (that’s why the fries are safe - nothing else goes in the fryer!).

As someone who is very sensitive to even the smallest amount of gluten I was very nervous to give this a try, but I’m so happy I did! The lettuce “bun” was delicious, the fries were great (dedicated fryer!!) and best of all, I didn’t get sick!

The fries were nice and crunchy. The hamburgers/cheeseburgers were honesty nothing to write home about. They were all right. Too many onions for my taste. Canned soda. Lots of liquor and beer. That's all I can really say. Friendly staff.

This place has excellent burgers and fries. I haven’t gotten sick. Normally I don’t get burgers if a gluten free bun isn’t offered, but I make an exception for this place. I would bump it up to 5 stars if they started offering a GF bun! Try the fries with the garlic aioli, so good.

Great burger with a lettuce leaf wrap and celiac-safe fries. They write up the order with a brightly-colored allergy alert paper attached.

I love Small Cheval. But I especially love how great they are with gluten free! No, there’s no gluten free buns. But standing waiting for my order, I heard them shout out — twice — a reminder that my burger was a gluten allergy. Then, they even went as far as to put my burger in an entirely separate bag from the rest of the order.

Above. And. Beyond. I’ve eaten here many many times and never gotten sick. But it wasn’t until today when I realized why. It’s just burgers, fries, and milkshakes but they take extra care here for those of us with celiac.

Delicious. I think lettuce wraps are usually trash but everything else on the burger is so good it makes up for it. Dedicated fryer!

Love Au Cheval so was excited to try Small Cheval. Burgers are served between two lettuce leafs, although wish they offered a bun since they don’t serve the burger on a hash brown patty “bun” like at Au Cheval. Fries are made in a dedicated fryer, enjoyed with aioli sauce. Staff who take your order ask if you have an allergy or if it’s a preference so they can prepare your burger away from where they grill the buns. An enjoyable meal overall.

Delicious burgers. No gluten free buns but the lettuce wrap is good. They note whether it is an allergy on your order. The staff knows the ingredients in the food. The only thing they cook in the fryer is potatoes. 24 hours later I feel fine and so does my celiac boyfriend.

The best burger! Wrapped in lettuce to make it gluten free. And they make an effort to note the allergy and keep mine away from the other bread. Fries are safe to eat too and delicious with the garlic aioli.
