Best GF burger bun I’ve had to date. Please not nothing GF is listed on the menu, just ask when ordering.
My go-to for burgers since my celiac diagnosis. Their whole menu including fries (apart from caramelised onions) can be made GF just by changing the bun. I just had to check the online allergens list. When I ordered in person they asked if my GF request was for allergy or sensitivity and labelled my order very clearly with !!ALLERGY!! which made me feel a lot more comfortable that they would make my food safely. I also order them on Deliveroo which is possibly riskier but the burgers come in completely sealed boxes so they do not touch each other and the fries are GF (and yummy).
Got the burgers delivered. The bun of the burger was really good but the food got quite soggy in delivery. I think this is a place that’s better to eat in rather than to get it delivered. They had quite a lot of gluten-free options across the menu.

The people here are so nice!! Wonderful experience, they ran out of gluten free buns but they were so nice I didn’t even care. They were knowledgeable and explained the separate friers and oils. I subtracted a safety heart just because it’s not dedicated gf.
I asked, they said they do not change gloves or take any precaution to limit cc, and fry everything in the same oil, kids working the kitchen and this location in particular is very dirty. Skip!
Staff seemed knowledgeable. I had the burger with gluten free bun and fries. Didn’t get sick or experience any symptoms.
The Des Moines Smadhburger is great. I am very sensitive and have had no problems with the ha mburger and fries.
At this location they say they have dedicated fryer and gluten free bun. Charge extra for bun.
