Review of Smoke The Restaurant

Horrible experience with our waiter. I was at my wit's end and finally asked if we were his 1st customers with gluten concerns and he said yes. He couldn't have cared less and didn't remotely make an effort to understand. Kept smiling and chuckling every time we asked how something was prepared. Ugh. We called ahead to check GF availability, and were told they had a GF menu. Got there and spoke to the manager - he said no "GF" menu, but that smoked meats were fine except chicken because it's marinated in soy sauce. He seemed to have a grasp which is the only reason we didn't leave. We should have. My pulled pork came with bread on top. My child's burger came in a bun and with fries which he apologized for, but he was so proud of himself for bringing the mashed potatoes. What?!? I was out of patience and told him she cannot eat the burger - pulling off the bun isn't an option and the bun left behind would make her extremely sick. Also explained the fries can't touch it either, and that it has to be remade. They did remake it, so that was good. Only redeeming quality of this place was the ribs were really tasty. From now on we will have a Plan B.
