horrible. house salad dressing is pure vinegar. pizza was decent. but the pasta dish had fishy tasting shrimp with a watery flavorless sauce. I had to spit it out. told the manager and said that was just my bad taste. no celiac or any customer should be treated that way. ruined a perfectly good night and my appetite.
When I crave pasta dishes this is the place for me. Able to make any pasta dish GF with GF pasta so they don't have a dedicate GF menu. Staff verifies with chef if unsure...since the pass-through is visible from dining area you know when they speak to the chef.
I'm a celiac & as a customer have worked with this restaurant to help them understand cross-contamination & put procedures in place to make it a safe place for celiacs like me to eat. since doing so, I eat there about once every 1-2 months and have no problems. They are just great. Highly recommend!
Tried to make sure they take precautions for cross contamination with their gluten free pizza but the waitress was short with me. They don’t know what toppings have gluten. I ended up getting glutened from their gluten free pizza. I loved this place before I was diagnosed with celiac but now I won’t return :(
CLOSED Very good pizza! The size is about 10.5 inches (I hope to add a photo), with a wide variety of toppings. The crust is thin and not heavy. I received mine with the pan in which the pie was cooked. I was told that they prepare the GF pies in a different location. The price is the cost charged for a medium pizza. All in all it was very tasty and worth the price.
Both times I ate here I had one of their salads and both times I got sick. My husband who eats gf when we’re together got the gf pasta and it was barely cooked.
On two occasions, I've ordered GF pasta only to have it served with regular bread. Apart from that, I've had stomach pains, distention, etc. after eating here (did not eat the bread, of course). I'd really love for this place to work out as it's right by my work and is actually delicious. However, the pain isn't worth it. I've also never tried the GF pizza as it's baked in the same oven as regular pizza. It's fine to not be celiac friendly, just don't advertise it as that. The menu is laden with GF options if you're feeling daring.
I had a cheeseburger, ordered with no bun and informed the waitress I had a gluten intolerance. When the burger came out it had breakers fried onions on it. I sent it back and now I’m currently sick for this meal. I’ve had the gluten free pizza and it’s great. Smoky Mountain has great food but celiac people be cautious because the serving staff don’t pay attention.
The pizza is always delicious and extremely gluten friendly. I have celiac and have eaten here numerous times without any troubles. Both the waiters and waitresses available when dining in are very knowledgeable about gluten free and when you order on the phone they know exactly what you are talking about. they also serve delicious gluten free pasta and salad. This is my favorite place to get pizza and their pasta never disappoints. I would definitely recommend.
Smoky Mountain consistently makes a great gluten free pizza! We love coming in the winter and sitting inside but our favorite lunch is sitting on their deck. Before our gluten free days we loved their pasta and sandwiches. Family friendly and they have a bar.
GF pasta is good! Have eaten here several times, some staff are more knowledgable than others. I haven't been sick when eating in but got sick the time I ordered to go (thankfully I had no plans for the evening)!!
Wonderful! Very aware of celiac disease issues. Chef made an off menu gf mac and cheese for my little boy and checked on us to make sure he liked it. He was in heaven! Daughter had a delicious gf pizza. My husband and I had regular pizza that was amazing. The service was wonderful! Loved it!
I love the GF pizza and I always feel great after I eat it! :) The staff is friendly and understanding and I always look forward to going there!!!
The staff was helpful and willing to answer questions and provide menu information. No specific GF menu but plenty to choose from. Pizza was great and so was the baked spaghetti (with GF penne noodles substitute). Meatballs (which the staff informed us aren't GF) come with the baked spaghetti so substitute with Italian sausage for a great alternative.
