This place is awesome! I can't eat wheat without nasty side effects and when I found this place, I was thrilled...especially after I tasted the food! Wow...Laura's breads are out of this world and NO GRAIN!!!I I highly recommend Snackin' Free for anyone with allergies or who simply wants to get healthy by eating great food!!
My non-GF husband & I (celiac). shared an almond flour chocolate chip cookie, a banana nut muffin & a chocolate chip protein bar. (Not all in one sitting.) All were moist & delicious. My picky hubby loved everything. Also like that they have grain-free, dairy-free & soy-free as well as GF.
This is to the young lady (allergictograins) who commented about the Xanthan gum in Daiya Cheese products and claiming that Snackin' Free is not PALEO. I agree whole heartedly that xanthan gum is not paleo, though it is widely used by many main stream products claiming to be paleo. Also, there are very few cheese like products out there for everyone with allergies to use on a paleo diet and in my opinion, Daiya fit the bill. This is the one thing in our store that contains xanthin gum. I am very sorry that you seem to have had a reaction to the xanthan gum. I had previously been and was, recently after reiterating my concerns, assured by Daiya consumer relations department that though xanthan gum is derived from 100% non- GMO corn, it does not contain the proteins and or other constituents that can cause an allergic reaction due to the fact that those allergens have been removed during processing. Therefore I could not be aware that this would and was under the impression that it could not be a problem. With regard to your comment that Snackin' Free is not Paleo, I would not agree with you there. We do our utmost to research every ingredient to make sure that it is paleo approved. I have been Paleo for many years due to severe health conditions and would not put anything into someone elses body that I would not put into my own. The following is a letter received from Daiya Consumer Relations Department on 3/8/16. Thank you for your interest in Daiya and our deliciously dairy free products! Daiya is free of many common allergens including soy, dairy (casein, whey and lactose), gluten, eggs, rice, peanuts and tree nuts (expect coconut oil). Our products contain xanthan gum and citric acid which are derived from 100% Non-GMO corn. The xanthan gum is refined to perform consistently, they do not contain the proteins and constituents that generally trigger allergic reactions. Daiya Products are free of wheat, rye, barley, and oats, I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to contact me directly if I can provide more specific information on an individual product. Warmly, Dave Dave Savage Consumer Relations Manager Discover How Delicious Dairy Free Can Be I am sorry that you had a bad experience with us and I do hope that you will try us again in the future.
this place is not paleo. the owner said everything in the store is paleo. so I tried the pizza and it has daiya cheese. I got so allergic. daiya has corn. the bai tea they sell has a corn additive. their BBQ made me itch. I called the companies that produce bai and daiya they confirmed they use corn. this lady does not know what she is talking about. SO SICK!
Amazing & delicious, clean eating! Every dietary need or preference under the sun is taken care of here. Dedicated gluten free & paleo so you don't have to worry about cross contamination. The owners are very friendly. Very homey feel, like a small and obscure coffee shop. Love the energy here! I will definitely be returning.
While visiting my Grandfather in Sun City, I did a quick search to see if there were any local spots that might accommodate my two sons and myself, with celiac disease. I was excited to see snackin free, and completely delighted once I arrived. I am almost exclusively grain free, and sugar free, so I was able to choose anything from their menu. My kids were happy to have a treat while we were there. Thank you!
This place is FANTASTIC! So many options to choose from & they had plenty of samples for first timers. Service is so outstanding; the people are so helpful and kind. I have a lot of dietary restrictions, and they're willing to ask you what you can/can't eat and provide recommendations based on your needs. Passing through town and decided to stop here on our way just to see what's what, and found this little gem. Can't wait until I get to pass through again and stop here and eat their delicious brownies :)
100% gluten and GRAIN free! Absolutely delicious, the variety is awesome. You will not be disappointed. It's not just a gluten free bakery, they have everything! If you are strictly paleo and need a treat, or perhaps craving some ranch dressing even...GO HERE! Even if you are not paleo or low to, GO HERE! There cupcakes have 4g of sugar, almost unbelievable!
This place is amazing and I would highly recommend it. The owner was extremely welcoming and allowed me to try various food items that were so delicious, I ended up buying multiple things. They have delicious sandwich bread which doesn't taste at all like the grainy, unappeting stuff that gluten-free breads are often like and since it's fall time, they had pumpkin bread which I bought and have now already finished. I got their Fall "Sammich" which was incredibly tasty. They make amazing protein bars which are great for me because I'm very active. They are delicious, packed with protein and portable. I also tried their crackers which are great and their snickerdoodle cookie which was delicious. Overall, my visit was fantastic and this is somewhere I will definitely be coming back to!
This place is great for a gluten free bakery; however, if you have other allergens, please ask what's in the ingredients. No ingredients listed! They are peanut free, but definitely NOT but free. Menu is very limited and pizza is not made there. You can only purchase the crust to make it at home. Breakfast sandwiches were ordered. Tasted good, but we were never told our bacon, egg, cheese sandwich would also have spinach (I think) in it. For those of us who have multiple allergies, please ask for full ingredients before ordering.
The bread, pizza crusts and crackers are amazing!! The coconut flour chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon rolls and cereals are the best NON-guilty pleasures! Plus the added bonus of tasty coffees without any dairy is simply delightful :) A place you must visit!
