I had never been but my mom ran into the chef purchasing ingredients at The Anderson's so she discussed GF with him & excitedly told me how knowledgeable he was so when some friends came to town I thought I would take them there for a new place to try. I called first to see what options might be available & the man who I was speaking with said "my options are anything without gluten". he chuckled but I did not find it funny & did not go either.
No
I only give them a one star because I cannot assign NEGATIVE stars. I attended a retirement party there and inquired with my server what I could safely eat from the menu. She had no idea what Celiac or gluten was so I asked to speak to a manager. When I repeated my question, the most positive comment I can make is that at least he understood my questions. He eyed the menu and oh-so-intelligently informed me that I could have one of the appetizers if I substituted corn tortillas for the flour tortillas that were listed on the menu. I told him that would be great! He looked at me as if were stupid and condescendingly replied that they DIDN'T HAVE CORN TORTILLAS. My husband and I sat staring at each other with our mouths open in disbelief and quietly said goodbye to my retiring colleague and drove down the road to eat at Chilis. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
Used to enjoy this place before I was hit with Celiac. No clue what they are doing. I realized after multiple questions and them covering my fish tacos in soy sauce their ignorance would make me sick. Sent my food away and drank my water. Rather go hungry than get sick.
