I ate here with my family for my daughter’s 13th Birthday. I had the mussels, followed by monk fish and then the most excellent chocolate cake for desert. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable of coeliac disease, the menu clearly shows coeliac suitable foods. I would most definitely eat here again when in Westport.

Mains were expensive but fine. Desert was reasonably good.
Yes
I have the Nima tester and tested my steak, which came back as “low gluten”. The restaurant manager made a scene when I politely told her why I wasn’t eating and insisted that she bring back a new ‘safe’ steak...it also came back with “low gluten” after Nima testing. Although much of their menu is labeled with “C” for celiac safe, I highly do not recommend dining here. Such a bummer and ruined the night with the manager putting me in tears as she shouted at me in front of other diners that I must be ‘an extreme celiac’ for testing food. Very rude and clearly doesn’t understand the disease. Our waitress was very kind and well informed about celiac when I ordered, she was even very embarrassed about the manager’s reaction to me.
No
I had a reaction after eating dinner here, possibly due to cross contamination. The waitress said the fries were likely gluten free as the high heat would burn off the gluten! While I did not have the fries something made me sick (I ordered lamb and chocolate cake) and with this level of education of the staff I’m not surprised.
Gluten-free chocolate cake is absolutely divine!
