Solid Ground Cafe

Been a regular here for a few years. I always order the rock solid with no avocado spread. They make it in a separate pan away from everything else.

I would come here almost daily when I lived on Mission Hill. It was my go-to breakfast place.

Coffee is very good as well. They rotate coffee specials every month and they’re always delicious.

Don’t live in the area anymore but I always find an excuse to come back!

Seemed very knowledgeable - I got a "Rock Solid" egg sandwich with a gluten free bun, and marked "gluten allergy."

When I got there, they checked with me as they made the order; apparently there's potential cross contamination with the avocado spread. I am only gluten intolerant so I said it was fine, otherwise I think they would have defaulted to leaving it off. Didn't get glutened afterwards.

Staff were nice and food was tasty, although the food was a bit pricey for what you get. Considering a lack of good options at Brigham and Women's though, was fine. Would come again, probably as I overheard that some of the pastries, like the "mini batinka" are also gluten free.

They have great breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The gluten free bun is very good and doesn’t crumble when you eat it. If you order online, they have an entire section where you can check off allergies and add comments/directions. *Disclaimer, I’m not celiac*
