This is okay for a sometimes treat. Cute cookies and lots of treats you don’t find often when eating gf. Sadly the prices are astronomical. I left with a couple of sugar cookies for the kids and $25 less in my wallet. I wouldn’t mind, except the ingredients being used are not optimal. Thankfully they label the fact that gmo ingredients are used. I’m not against gmo’s, but what I am against is glyphosate laden food (corn syrups, corn oils, non-organic sugarcane dried with glyphosate) which further attacks the mucosal lining of the gut and causes similar problems to what we are attempting to avoid by eating gluten free in the first place. When I inquired with the woman at the counter she said they use those ingredients to keep prices down.
Update: Never open, lack of quality, not what it once was
They have a wide variety of food and products that are gluten free. Everything. From cupcakes to breads to bread crumbs. They also offer gluten free dairy free or gluten free egg free products. Products are somewhat pricy but worth it. Have never gotten sick from their products.
The bread is delicious! I drive 45 minutes to get this bread since I can’t find it at Whole Foods. Like with all gf bread, it is best when toasted! I can’t comment on their other baked goods because they have potato starch, which is a no no for me. Aside from that, I highly recommend their bread especially over what most grocery stores stock.
The costumer service was subpar and the bread had to be toasted in order to be eaten or else it was extremely dry and would fall apart. Wouldn’t recommend
I ordered online the Harvest Bread, the Cinnamon Raisin Bread and the Irish Soda Bread. All of them arrived very dry and seemed stale. You wouldn't want to eat them out of the bag. They have to be toasted to be palatable. This wasn't always the case. I used to get the cinnamon raisin bread and it was moist and delicious when it arrived. I didn't even freeze it half the time because it was all gone in two days. The new management is doing something different and it's not a good different. This will probably be the last order I put in. Such a shame.
They have lots of baked goods, such as muffins, cupcakes, bagels, and bread. I had a chocolate muffin and an everything bagel! Both were very delicious!
Entire bakery is gluten free
The bread tasted fair almost stale. But the dinner rolls were good. Shipping was fast about 2-3 days. There was some confusion with ordering cupcakes online. I thought I was getting a pack of cupcakes with icing as a kit for 10 dollars instead an empty container for banana bread (which I did not order) arrived with 2 mushed cupcakes that I am not even sure were carrot cake as I ordered. I contacted seller and did not receive a response until I sent a second email. The writer argued with me telling me via email that the pack of 2 cupcakes were 10 dollars which is what i was charged however a pack of 6 cupcakes is 20. Apparently when I ordered it was 5 dollars a cupcake but now that's not the case. I was disappointed. Inhave recently seen reviews that they are under new management?? I am not sure. I have never been inside the bakery. I ordered strictly online.
Awesome GF good! Some of the treats are too sweat / dense! But amazing bread and awesome people!
Update... super disappointed to hear the company has been sold and bought by someone who owns/owned a not safe “gluten free” bakery prior. Really bummed to hear that news after the gluten free expo.
I’ve tried a few things and want to love it. The DF cinnamon croissant is hard, very dense and the only saving grace is the cinnamon sugar...which would be better on toast with butter and save you 20 grams of fat. The dinner rolls are good. Some local restaurants serve them, but other than that, I think I’ll pass trying anything else.
Something Sweet Without Wheat makes the hands-down, most delicious GF products in the area! I worked with SSWW for three years in both their retail and factory settings, and can't say enough good things about this business. The staff genuinely cares about offering only the highest quality products to their customers. The care and planning which goes into creating new recipes is something truly special. Much of this passion stems from the owner, Christine, as she herself is afflicted with severe intolerances. I will continue to recommend these products to anyone who is looking for delicious, allergy friendly options.
This bakery is fantastic. Note that it is NOT a cafe- there’s nowhere to eat. But they have a variety of frozen items ready to go and some fresh items ready to eat. The cinnamon rolls are to die for and the cider donuts didn’t even taste GF (but are!) such an exciting find! They have cupcakes, cookies, breads, etc.
Before I was an employee at their Woburn location I enjoyed their food. They tell you that the food is fresh, however, it is NOT! Everything is frozen (even the stuff you see when you enter the store that they tell you are fresh) They do not inventory the freezer well and they treat their employees absolutely terrible, like slaves. I absolutely hate leaving a review like this but everyone should be aware.
Bread is pretty yummy. Especially if you're looking for something different- they're cinnamon sugar bread is awesome. I will eat the whole loaf in a day if no one stops me. Some pastries are okay, some get crumbly if they freeze them. Whoopie pies and cinnamon rolls are my fav. Sub rolls are pretty good too!
Extremely over priced. Ordered a cake from here and was not very impressed with how much I paid and how it came out.
Cannot say enough good things about this place! Not only can I eat GF without the fear of getting sick, but they have dairy-free options as well. I had their tea-bread (a cinnamon type cake which was heavenly!) their woopie pies and a few other baked goods which all tasted too good to be true! They also make custom cakes, have a phenomenal staff and I would highly recommend them! (Their dinner rolls are now served at Legal Seafoods!!)
