So good! They have GF buns, change their gloves, and clean the grill for GF orders. The GF bun was one of the best I’ve had. It was like real bread! They have a very simple menu with delicious options. Super kind and accommodating’

We ate here and I had the gf cheesesteak and fries. The meat, cheese, and bun were excellent. Don’t get the cheese whiz for cheese as it is not gluten free. I got the provolone. The staff and service was great though. The staff and service was great even though we were there just before closing. We got our food to go. Only complaint were the fries were mushy so maybe order them crispy or well done.

I got the classic cheesesteak on a gf bun. When i ordered they asked if it was Celiac disease, which I confirmed. She then asked the chef to clean the grill and change his gloves. I was amused that they asked over the microphone if anyone else was ordering a GF sandwich since the grill was clean! My cheesesteak was pretty good! Most importantly, I felt safe eating it!

So good I want to cry. I am not sensitive but seemed safe given bread does not go on the grill. Shared fryer though so no go for fries.

On a trip to Philly with the family. Obviously, we had to try a cheesesteak. My daughter has a mild gluten allergy so I looked up places that had gluten-free rolls. I wasn't worried about a gluten-free kitchen, just the rolls. We were in Old City which is the historic section. I looked up cheesesteak places near The Liberty Bell. Sonny's and Campos were nearby. I asked a few employees at the Visitors Center and they all agreed that Sonny's was a great choice. And they were not wrong. The whole family was thrilled. My daughter was able to order a gluten-free roll and everyone else could order what they would usually have. I tried the gluten-free cheesesteak and it was very good. The staff was super friendly. The line was long but it went very fast. There weren't any open tables but we found a park half a black away and ate there instead. Highly recommended!

If you are in Philly and want the cheesesteak experience, thus is the spot. I cannot vouch for cleaning procedures, but I have been here several times with no issue. The GF bread is top-notch, and the cheesesteak is as good as the "real" version.

The gluten free Philly cheesesteak was the best I’ve ever had! The bread didn’t fall apart and it actually tasted like real bread, I had to double check it was GF because it was so good!!

I will say we don’t worry about cross contamination, but they have the best gluten free cheesesteak!

Ordered gluten-free roll cheesesteaks for my son who has wheat allergies. We aren’t strict about cross contamination, YMMV. I had a bite of his and the gluten-free roll was really good, it was as good as my regular roll. A very good tasting option.

They have GF buns, but we were told “There’s going to be cross contamination in a place like this.” This may work for an intolerance, but definitely not Celiac friendly.
No
Was told very rudely by a worker that only the bread was gluten free but none of the meals. Do not recommend this... didn't appreciate getting such a terse response to my question of whether the whole meal was gluten free.
Excellent sandwiches. Knowledgeable staff. Asked about changing gloves and made sure we knew cheez whiz had gluten. It was delicious!
Enjoyed the cheesesteak! Staff told me the fryer is not dedicated and the fries are not safe for celiac.
Just ok. Not super flavorful and bun was just all right.
The staff was great and so was the cheesesteak!

Great sandwich. $3 extra for GF bread.

Had a loaded cheesesteak with provolone cheese on a GF roll and fries (dedicated fryer). Delicious, but about 30% smaller than a standard cheesesteak - not that I’m quibbling, mind you.
Yes
Perfect authentic beef and chicken cheese steaks. Fries are unfortunately not GF, but honestly the sandwiches themselves are so rich you don’t need them. Quite knowledgeable about cc. I recommend this place to experience true Philly culture in terms of food!
Yes
Very knowledgeable about cross-contamination, and even knew the Whiz wasn't gluten free.

Never had a cheesesteak until the other night. Had 30 mins between coming from a movie and seeing another so I called ahead and placed my order while I walked over. Was tasty. Ended up coming back later that night for another.
Yes
Super delicious, amazing find, GF friendly, rolls and understand of celiac! Hopefully the fries will be GF soon!

Best gluten-free cheese steak in Philly. I wish their fries we’re gluten-free too.

I am so PISSED at this place. Never in my life have I experienced such rude behavior from the workers! I was trying to order and I asked if the pizza burger was gluten free. She said “I think” I then asked her if there was someone she could ask just to make sure. She rolled her eyes, give me a dirty look, then walked away into the employee room slammed a the door. She then walked out and slammed the door again and hugged and puffed as she walked to me in a mad and mean away. Then said “no you can only have bread” as she rolled her eyes. I am so upset. That is NOT away to treat a customer!!!!
Amazing GF Philly Cheese steak. It was packed after the 4th parade but definately worth the wait. Go here!!! Yum!
So good. We felt blessed to get to experience a philly steak and cheese. I was worried about contamination, but none of us 3 celiacs had any issue. We tried the three different cheeses (whiz, provolone, and mozzarella ) and all the toppings. Sandwiches were amazing!

You guys have the best gluten free steak and cheese subs we have EVER had. So grateful to have stumbled upon your restaurant a few weeks ago. The waitstaff was super friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure everything would not be Cross contaminated. Wish you had a spot in Boston!!!
Fulfilled my steak and cheese cravings like woah! š
So good! My first Philly cheese steak and so good. The bread is unbelievable! I was worried I'd get sick, it was that legit! Celiac and did not get sick. Seems sketchy but they are careful
Woman at register was lovely! GF buns were terrific! The cheesesteak was great! No tummy ache!!!
They offer GF buns from Taffet's bakery. My girlfriend (that has celiac) has it frequently and doesn't have any reactions. They seem to do a good job separating the GF sandwiches from the others.
Prior to having GF buns, we noticed they have a seemingly dedicated fryer for the French fries, and they never caused a reaction. This place is awesome!
