A lot of gluten free options. Fried green tomatoes are nice. Poutine was yummy, which is a dish that usually has a beef gravy and instead of flour they use corn starch, the potatoes were from fresh potatoes and was enough for a full meal. The gluten free Mac and cheese was good. The chocolate ganache torte had a pecan crust and was a great balance to a rich torte. Well done!
Went another time. The owner is celiac. No wonder the food is spectacular! I had GF corn bread yum! I did the mac and cheese it was still good. I did a vegetable le plate. Collard greens were good so was Cole slaw and brussels sprouts. My husband ordered pork and he liked my GF veggies more than his plate. Again the chocolate torte was good. Now owners of this place c’mon you got this down so how about more gluten free deserts and bring back poutine.
I try to catch the Wednesday night fried chicken special whenever I can because it is the closest thing I’ve found to glutenous fried chicken. The skin is crispy and delish. Not falling off the chicken like most gluten free batters. I’ve never gotten sick in several years of dining here.
Ate here while visiting family. The fried catfish, Brussels sprouts & cornbread were delicious. I don’t have Celiac’s but I’m highly sensitive to gluten & had no reaction.
Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free. Even the cornbread! They also have a chocolate cake and carrot cake that are gluten free. Everything is delicious
We’ve eaten here twice for lunch. Only one dish can not be modified to be GF on the whole menu and it’s nice to have so many options, including breaded and fried items! So far I can speak to the Cuban, brisket, and shrimp Poboy sandwiches, fried and buffalo fried cauliflower. All GF. The GF bread is so so but, again, it’s nice to have options rarely available on other restaurant’s GF menus.
Friendly staff and gluten free bread available for all sandwiches!! Great time
First off, when we got there they sat us in a room which had the AC blowing & created a very chilling breeze. The room was freezing & throughout the whole meal my family & I kept talking about how cold we all were - we ended up trading seats with each other twice throughout our time here. I got the gluten free Texas chicken sandwich, which was supposed to be a spicy sandwich. I wasn’t aware that it was Cajun style & it was very dark looking & covered in spices, I couldn’t even taste chicken. The French fries were pretty good but our overall experience here was not a pleasant one. We will definitely not be coming back.
Amazing food! So many options! Staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. Great atmosphere. I will be back!
