I had quesadilla. The taste wasn’t bad and definitely not worth the pain. I got sick afterwards. It was my firt time eating there and it will be the last. Most likely there was a cross contamination even though I kindly informed the waiter about my condition. I don’t recommend this place to people with celiac.

The owner and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. I have eaten there several times and have never had a reaction. They have many gluten free options. Their Seafood risotto is the best I have ever had. I love the Gouda Pimento Cheese appetizer that you can order with GF crackers.

Such a great place to enjoy a delicious and safe meal. I called ahead as suggested and talked to Dana. She helped me plan my meal. I knew before we arrived what I was ordering. I had a wonderful salad topped with grilled salmon. The staff were so supportive and knowledgeable. The owner Lisa stopped by our table to check on my experience.

We were told that we had to call in ahead of time for Celiac. I appreciate that they are understanding of the risk of cross contamination & are willing to take extra steps but I wish they had posted this on their website or somewhere. My son enjoyed the GF quesadilla but we were limited in what he could order because we didn't know to call.

Excellent food! Ask for Lisa - she seemed very knowledgable and took extra care to make sure my food was both gluten and dairy free.

I hate to have to cause I had a great time and food tasted good. But I was sick for a week after :-( I made sure to ask question and she said she checked but think there was flour in the sauce

My first time here I told the waitress I had celiac disease and was trying to find something I could eat. I ordered something not knowing it wasn't gluten friendly and she advised me it wasn't. Since I first went to southern roots, their menu now states which items are gluten free. Their online menu does not show this.
