I chose this place because of the Find Me GF app. I confirmed w/ the person at the counter (asst. mgr) that the brisket was GF. He said yes, and the lady cutting the meat (turns out she is the GM) asked if I had an allergy. I told her I have CD and she immediately took off her gloves, said something to the back, washed her hands and put on new gloves. She laid but her paper over the cutting board, brought out a new cutting board/knives and put that down on top of the butcher paper, then brought out a new brisket to chop some off for my meal. Most of the time you don't get to watch the accommodations, so it was very cool to watch the level of effort they went to. In addition, they were extremely cool about it and I did not feel like a burden. Bonus- the brisket was awesome!
This place is awesome! I haven’t had bbq this amazing since I went to Nashville. We called ahead to make sure they would be able to accommodate us. It was a Sunday and we were coming in right around the church rush. When we arrived, they already had a clean cutting board ready to go. There were only a few items that contained gluten, and they were knowledgeable on what I should avoid. I ended up getting the 2 meat plate with brisket and pork steak. They were also doing a special that day for a cheese/jalapeño stuffed sausage wrapped in bacon for only $4, so I added that to my plate. I had beans and potato salad with it. Def recommend the pork steak. The brisket was good, but a little salty for my taste. And if they are doing the special sausage, def get some! I wasn’t a big fan of the beans but the potato salad was great. I ate WAY too much and didn’t have any symptoms after.
Most things edible and tasty. Only the bread, regular sausage, mac n cheese, maybe something else has gluten. Friendly and helpful staff.
