Pub / restaurant in the Sizzling chain. Order and pay at the bar giving your table number No allergen info on standard menus at the table so I used the online allergen filter menu on my phone. Unfortunately not all items on the allergen menu were on the menu at this location. I ordered a steak and upgraded to sweet potato fries. A few minutes later a server came to my table to explain that the sweet potato fries were not cooked in a gf fryer but the regular chips had a dedicated fryer so I had to down grade. Much to my surprise a few minutes later the server returned to my table and gave me a £1.29 refund for the fries. Bonus marks for knowing about cross contamination but why were the the sweet potato fries even on the gf menu ?
