I went there for lunch and there were only a few gluten free items (2 sides and 2 appetizers) on the menu. Very underwhelming experience. Waiter was not very knowledgeable

Jeezaas Krist! The BEST ribs evah! EVAH! And coeliac safe! My Trinidad roots surfacing here, because I hav to be totally real in reviewing this place: Went in for lunch, which featured a smaller menu, with entrees lacking gluten-free designations, yet about two were gluten free while two other options could be so prepared. This was less so in the case of appetizers and sides. Okay, so be it....Was getting a little disappointed.

Started with a mango cherry margarita, a tangy fizzy version prepared expertly by the bartender AJ, who was also our server. Great drink by a great bartender. My mood started to lift.

Deliberated over the Shrimp & Grits but went with the Clacky Ribs with a side of collard greens. Lord, when that plate arrived, it swear it could serve a village for weeks. Perfect sauce—right mix of sweet, tang, smoke and spice. Perfect texture—char on the outside, juicy and moist on the inside, fork tender and not falling apart but with the right amount of pull and the right amount of give. Flavour fully permeating and infused. Ate only half and bagged the rest. My partner also had ribs but with cornbread, that’s not gluten free but which he said was delicious.

They bagged our food separately, mine first then his, to avoid cross contamination or confusion. We’re going back and taking his mom—that’s how good it was.

Attractive space, nice decor, warm tones, Southern and Caribbean vibe as various patrons were West Indian.

The owners came out to check on us and our experience and to introduce themselves—not obtrusive, but friendly and sincere.

Next time, we will go for dinner and the full menu. I’ll order ribs, he’ll order shrimp & grits, and we’ll share. Because I want to try other things, but I ain’t missin out on dem ribbz!!!

Delicious food for me and my gluten-consuming husband. Not only was the menu labeled with GF dishes, our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the food’s preparation. Extra bonus—everyone was so nice! The owners stopped by our table to chat, and everyone wished my husband a happy birthday. The piano player was a nice touch, too. We’ll be back!

As a gluten-sensitive gal out with my gluten-eating pal, I was very happy with the naked wings, kale salad and cranberry brussels with pork belly. Good old southern food! Also saw broccoli mashed potatoes on the menu and an amazing GF red snapper I have to try next time. No stomach ache, left full and happy. Those wings with honey Dijon...I’m coming back!
