I love the food here but the first time I went after my celiac diagnosis, it didn't go well. They were able to provide GF soy sauce and offered to help me find GF items on the menu (they weren't sure, and the waitress did go to the kitchen to ask, which I appreciate). I made sure to tell her that I was celiac (which I am not sure she really knew what it was). We asked to only have GF menu items even though I was the only one with restrictions, just to make it easier. They brought me the mixed vegetable dish (which the waitress told me would not have sauce as it had regular soy sauce in it). I saw there was sauce and asked the man who brought the food if it was actually GF. He went to check and then came back and said no its not. He asked me if I was okay with the dish anyways (even though I mentioned I was celiac). I told him it's not a preference, it is a food safety issue and he brought it back and had it re-made.
To sum things up, the staff were not knowledgeable about celiac disease and treated it as a preference it seemed. I would highly recommend that anyone with celiac disease avoid this restaurant or be extremely cautious when ordering.

Great experience. The sushi was excellent, there was gluten free soy sauce, and our server put a note in the system to indicate that all our sushi should be gluten free. The best experience I've had eating sushi in Toronto!
