The restaurant was a sightseeing adventure. Lots of neat things to look at and great people watching while you wait (they seemed to be having a Halloween festival). The gluten free pizza was AMAZING! THE BEST I have had. It is not flat and like cardboard! I will definitely be back!!! Highly sensitive celiac and had no issues except left craving more the next day!!
not sure why this place is rated so high, it's crazy expensive for ridiculously mediocre food. the pizza is awful, the bread to sauce to cheese ratio is always wrong even when i ask for more sauce/more cheese they just can't get it right. then when you order topping which are 3$ each, you get- and i'm not kidding you - three little pieces of meat or whatever you ordered.
now as for the waffles, just pitiful frankly. they're chronically undercooked to the point where they're still wet and gooey inside, every. single. time. plus they have this weird chemical butter taste to them that you cannot drown out with syrup.
i wouldn't eat here as much if my friends didn't love the gluten options. disappointing and over priced if you're gluten-free :/ the staff are always nice though and i never feel sick from gluten after eating there (just sick from the price and the greasy, sad pizza)
BEST “GF” PIZZA we have ever had —- Best hand made crust ever! We were Northern Indiana Spring Breakers looking for GF options southbound on I75. Two out of three in our group are very sensitive Celiac Disease. We stopped and it was AMAZING. We loved it so much we stopped again on the way home. Definitely worth the extra 5-10 min each way off the interstate. Note: They use separate pans, separate utensils, in a separate area away from the regular pizza.
Possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had, even though it was gluten-free! Definitely the best gluten-free pizza I’ve had. Thick crust is so hard to find when you’re doing gluten-free. I’ll definitely be back.
The best pizza I have had in years. So good I ordered 2 to go! Waffle was amazing too - allergy to gluten, dairy, egg.
Super thick deep dish pizza like the old days, but GF. How? Amazing! Enjoyed immensely. They use the same oven as the regular pizza but dedicated GF baking pans. We also enjoyed the delicious GF waffle. The is a great spot ambience-wise, with tons of eclectic outdoor seating scattered about, wired for music. You can sit at a regular metal picnic table, or benches made of stained and sanded reclaimed wood, or with orange and blue tiled concrete benches, or what looks like a 100 year old tree stump covered with outdoor carpet. Next door to a hip taco place, and abuts a coffee joint in a converted Airstream. Great place inside/out. Worth a special trip for the deep dish pizza.
Not nearly as impressive as the reviews said. GF/Vegan pizza was just ok. Very greasy. Fountain drink root beer wasn’t good. Have not eaten waffles yet. Outside seating was cool but very bad for allergies. Don’t plan to go back.
Deep dish delish! Don’t walk, run to this place. Or drive, like we did from Orlando. It was well worth it. Best pizza I’ve had since I found out I was intolerant over 10 years ago, and I’ve been to a handful of other gluten free conscious countries. I wish I hadn’t gotten so many toppings, so I could taste the crust more. Never said that about a gf pizza before. They are very conscious of cross contamination and have separate prep space and oven. No indoor seating in case that’s a factor for you, but there is covered outdoor.
I have never had gluten free pizza like this. Even though my box was marked gluten free I still had to double check because I could believe it. Thick crust, super stretchy dough, truly incredible. The best gluten free pizza I have ever had, more importantly I didn’t get sick, and I am EXTREMELY sensitive. This place is incredible and a must stop!
They have a separate area for gluten free and take great steps for safety. Personal pan deep dish pizza, which I didn't think was even possible gluten free! Literally every other pizza I've ever had has been very thin crust and crispy. Vegan cheese is also available if interested, some interesting toppings and pizza types, also have waffles.
If memory serves correctly - and it probably doesn't - their deep dish pizza isn't quite as good as non-gluten free, which I haven't had in a couple of years and have probably built up in my head. But still happy it's an option here!
Oh my gosh. I haven’t had a pizza like this since 2011! (When I was diagnosed) Their gfree pan pizza is amazing. They take care to not cross-contaminate. They have gfree waffles too which look fantastic and I’ll try next time. Definitely a diamond in the rough! Side note there isn’t any indoor tables for seating. There is a small counter with some stools looking out the window. There is plenty of covered seating outside on picnic tables. Plan “to-go” if these aren’t your thing. We sat outside on a hot humid day and there was a nice breeze.
it was so good!! 10/10 recommend! i got the gluten free pizza and it tastes so good it’s the best one i’ve ever had! it’s super fluffy because they use a different type of flour and i’ve never tasted anything like it as a celiac person :) would come back if it was closer to home 🙌🙌
Being a celiac for 10+ years, I have had many gluten free pizzas. I have now found the best gluten free pizza ever!! I have no idea how they make the crust a deep dish, but it's so good! It's good hot or cold the next day for breakfast. Also, the vegan cheese for the dairy free is also very good. At first, I thought they made a mistake and my pizza wasn't gluten free and dairy free...it's that awesome! If you're in Gainesville, eat here!
I had the GF waffles with bacon and they’re honestly the best GF waffles i’ve ever had. They also didn’t make me feel sick so i’m very happy :)
