Unfortunately I was glutened here. Such a shame because the place itself was nice and had heard good reports. It seemed like staff were not really aware of cross-contamination issues e.g. handing out the normal bread over the top of the GF bread, and then offering to cut the base off a cheesecake to make it gluten free! I won’t be returning.

I contacted the pub ahead of booking to inform them I was celiac. They were prompt to email me back to confirm and called me the day before my booking to confirm the booking and re confirmed their acknowledgment of my dietary need. Excellent. When I arrived they talked me through the menu and brought me GF bread to the table with regular bread for the other party members. All in all I couldn’t fault their service and efforts to get it right I’m without making issue. Thank you! Food was great too by the way.
