I ordered the chicken tender box with the slaw using the self-order kiosk, and at the end in the “special requests” box flagged the order as gluten free. I heard the employees announce that they needed a glove change and let me know when they gave me my food that they changed gloves and did everything they could to avoid contamination, though they do serve gluten products. I so enjoyed having fresh, delicious chicken tenders and trying a few of the sauces! What a fun treat while waiting for my flight. I felt so comfortable eating here knowing they took extra care to be gluten free!
The one at the airport is great! I looked up the allergen info on their website, since it was super busy. I’ve eaten there a few times now with no problems and it’s delicious! That being said, I just tried the one in S. San Francisco on El Camino and I’m sooo sick. So, just be careful with which franchise you go to!
I absolutely love this place! Delicious fried chicken and enthusiastic staff!
I regularly dine at my local Starbird and have always had a great experience. However, since this was my first time trying a different location, I felt a bit apprehensive, knowing that procedures can vary between branches.
I ordered my usual chicken tenders with fries and for sauces I got the Star Bird and Greek yogurt.
I tested the fries and chicken tenders with my Nima sensor and it came out gluten-free! I didn’t get sick and am happy to have this option at SF airport!
Chicken is good, but menu isn’t marked. Server couldn’t tell me if fryer was gf. Nor did he know anything about the sauces- so with 7 sauce choices he told me only ketchup for me- and wouldn’t answer any questions. So I’m ruining decent chicken with a handful of thrown packages of ketchup
Was so shocked to see this place on find me gluten free while at the SF airport in terminal 1. Chicken tenders and fries are GF and staff takes it seriously, will switch gloves. The chicken tenders were some of THE best gf fried chicken I have ever had. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Did not get sick.
Was disappointed when I flew into terminal 3 all exited for gluten free fried chicken to find out I have to leave and re-enter security… don’t plan on it unless you’re in terminal 1. I ended up going back on the way out, inconvenient in a different terminal but totally worth it. Staff was very knowledgeable and changed gloved assuring me I would be safe. Awesome chicken and fries, by far the best I’ve had.
Quick fried chicken restaurant at SFO terminal 1. Food tastes good and portions were generous. All fried food including the chicken and fries is GF. Very important to ask for the manager. He was very knowledgeable about celiac and made my food personally. Other employees were not as aware about cross contamination.
